Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 10 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Previous Employment Requirements: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Required Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, GI surgery, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, IV insulin protocols, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit

Preferred Skills: Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Chemotherapy Administration, External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, ECMO, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR), Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), Phlebotomy

Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

Block Schedules: No, Per manager discretion

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends will likely exceed every other to meet unit needs

Floating Requirements: Float within scope to meet facility needs, including lower acuity units.

All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within a given state

Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by. Might have to float to Mission Viejo or Mission Laguna

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
