Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 12 months.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Additional Details:

Experience Needed: Trained and worked in a dedicated Open-Heart Unit receiving patients directly from the OR.

Required: Current experience with recovery of post-op cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting, Vent, CRRT, Swan, Epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive gtts titration, level 1 IABP, ECMO

Preferred: Critical Care Certification, trauma course

Shift: A/P Rotation or straight PM

36 or 48 hour/week assignments

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU/ Zayed 5 East) is a unit that provides care for patients who are recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures.
