Weekend Requirements: Every other
Floating Requirements: Will float to all same level and lower levels of acuity
Beds: 18
Nurse Patient Ratios: 1:4, 1:3 for post surgical patients in the first 24 hours
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Patients who require intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients. Unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart. Cath Lab, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR and any other cardiac and vascular related diagnosis.
Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year of experience with this patient population
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, Cardizem, and multiple other medications for blood pressure management.
RNs must read and interpret.
RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated
Candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
