Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Block Schedules: No

36hrs or 48hrs

Start Date: 6/9, 6/23

First timers accepted: Yes (Must have CVICU Experience)

On Call: 4 call shifts in 6 week schedule

Weekend REQ: Every Third Weekend

Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Skills Req: Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patients, pacer/temp pacer/ transvenous pacer,

Clinician must be comfortable with POD 1 hearts, must be able to admit and take fresh hearts

Skills Preferred: lumbar drain

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Charting: Cerner/med connect

No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.

Address must match DL when determining local status

Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
