Dress Code: Artificial nails are not permitted. Hair coloring must be natural colors, acceptable hair coverings should be worn if hair coloring is outside of natural color. Visible face and neck tattoos are not acceptable. Tattoos reflecting racial, nudity, or derogatory images or words must be covered.
Guaranteed Hours 40 hours per week.
Normal shift will be M-F, with a call rotation which is every 3rd weekend ( Friday 5pm - Monday 5am).
Certs/ARDMS: RDMS, RVT or ARRT DMS.
How many scanners/rooms does this department have: 2 at hospital. 1 at outpatient center. Primary site to be noted on assignment.
Will they have to float/cover any other areas: Yes.
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: General and Vascular.
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Vascular, Breast, Small parts (thyroid scorutm and small tissue masses). Rare, thoracentesis or paracentesis with floor doctor, No biopsies 1 year of experience. OK with first time travelers.
Average # of scans/studies per day: 10 per room (2 rooms). most studies done in the room in the hospital go to floor and ER.
EMR &/or PACS do they use: EMR- Truebridge(CPSI). PACS is NOVA RAD.
Shifts & Scheduling: Director does schedules, no self scheduling.
Weekend Requirements: Yes on call.
Holiday Requirements: Yes.
Call or Standby requirement?: Yes, rotational with other sonographers every three weeks, for 1 week fo call for ER (ectopic pregnancies, and torsions). 5p-7a next morning and 24 hour weekend.
