Travel Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit

Teaching Hospital Experience - Preferred

8/12 hour shifts, Monday through Friday

Every Other Weekend required

Some holidays or to meet staffing needs.

Required:

MS/Tele experience

Telemetry oncology, cardiac and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience - Preferred

Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to.

Telemetry: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.

Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start

Passing score of 80% or higher

Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass.

If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned.

Floating: Travelers are the first. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.

Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request

Orientation: 36 Hours

Patient Population: Adults

Daily Census: 26 Patients

Patient Types / Diagnosis: Providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients

Have the opportunity to care for both general care (Patient Ratio: 1/3) and IMC (Patient Ratio: 1/2) level patients

RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process.

Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required.

Orientation: UWH orientation is held every other week – typically on a Monday

Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change)

Orientation is typically about one week.
