Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
24 months of Step Down Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Mississippi license or compact license

Additional Details:

Candidates who have 2+ years of experience, 3 days or less RTO and who can start on date posted in the position can be auto-offered.

Orientation Dates: 8/13, 8/27 Only

Float as needed between units: 3W, 2W, 3 Central

Weekend and holiday requirements

No on call.

Patient Care Modality: Respiratory failure, COPD, Kidney failure, Overdoses, Sepsis, 2 West also has vascular pre and post op patients

Age range: 21+

Skills Required:

  • All titratable drips
  • IV insertions
  • Central line management
  • Trach management

Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required

All RNs will be required to take and pass a “pre-assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip)” test

RNs should be prepared; passing score is 80%

Must not have worked perm/per diem at NMMC in the last 12 months
