Additional Details:

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Required Skills/Experience: Recent ICU experience. Community Hospital Experience. Skills: IV therapy, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, GI surgery, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, IV insulin protocols.

Preferred Skills/Experience: High acuity ICU experience. Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, Chemotherapy Administration, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Sheath Removal, Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit.

Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID. Cert: ACLS, BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only.

Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Open to accommodating block schedule: Per manager discretion.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: DSU. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
