Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the past 24 months.
12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from any number of months
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: RNs only - Need at least a years worth of acute care experience within the past two years. Must be able to read tele strips and have strong surgical experience, strong cardiac telemetry

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience: cardiac surgery (CABG/valve replacement/post aortic dissection repair), thoracic surgery (VATS, wedge resection, lobectomy), comfort with chest tubes, temporary epicardial pacemakers. Post-TAVR patient. Medical treatment Cardiology: Heart Failure, Pulmonary Hypertension. Familiar with Amio, insulin, dobutamine, nitro, milrinone, diltiazem, Surgical/trauma/tele

Unit/Facility Details:* 36 beds

Special Requests: Travel Pairs are not accepted.

Types of Patients on Unit: cardiac telemetry, post cardiac and thoracic surgeries.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Hours: 36 (unless otherwise noted): Every to every other weekend, 26 weeks preferred, 13 accepted; 48 hours preferred, 36 accepted

Float Requirements: First to float, will float to other med/surg units as needed
