Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from last 12 months.

Must have at least 10 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

ACLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years current MS, PACU and/or post operative care experience

Tele Strip Reading experience

Surgical care experience with Patient Types (General, thoracic, vascular, uro, gyn, ortho, podiatry)

Experience with PCA's, epidurals, chest tubes, CBIs

Required Credentials: May need to take on-site class Identifying Cardiac Dysrhythmias. Must pass test. Then annually complete an educational module (Cornerstone) that has test questions embedded. Need to pass the module.

Shift & Scheduling: No Call, Every other weekend including holiday rotation

Floating Requirements: May float across other like med surg units including BH, ED
