Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience: Skillset Requirements: Telemetry, Vents -Required Skills: Respiratory, Care of Ventilated Patient, Care/maintenance of acute airway, Tracheostomy care, Cardiovascular, Hemodynamic monitoring, Insertion/Management of Pulmonary Artery Pressure (PAP) line, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Neurologic, Work Settings, PICU, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs

Preferred Skills/Experience: Preferred Skills: Assist/maintain chest tube, Post cardiac surgery, ICP monitoring, Pediatric CVICU

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit/Facility Details: -Unit Information: 23 bed Cardiac ICU. ranked per USNWR #5 in the nation and #1 in Midwest for last 2 years. Care for complex heart patients, VAD patients, heart transplant program. -Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**

Shift & Scheduling: -Every other weekend required

Floating Requirements: Note: cardiac stepdown unit, PICU
