Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

36 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

AS completion required

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Patient Population: Respiratory care patients, vent management, intubations, extubations, suctioning, treatments.

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Every other weekend, occasionally every 3rd

Float Requirements: Primarily PICU and NICU, but may need to float to general med/surg acute care units, EDTC.

Required:

3-5 years Peds critical care or NICU.

Must be able to function on PICU and Level IV NICU.

PICU Experience

Vents-Servo I and Servo u, LTV's, Astral and Trilogy, Oscillators, Trach patients, knowledge of invasive and non-invasive ventilation, CPAP, BiPaP, RAM cannula, NAVA ventilation, PEP, INO

Clinician-to-Patient Ratio: 2-3 RCP's in each of PICU, 3-4 RCP's in NICU depending on census.

Dress Code: Scrubs - Any professional

Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where the unit is closed and orientation week.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
