Additional Details:
Class/Area: Emergency Room/Behavioral Health Case Manager
Weekend Requirements: Possibly 2-3 per month
Holiday Requirements: Required based on unit needs
Experience Requirements:
- Must have 1yr of exp in the ER and 1yr exp in Psych (Hospital preferred)
- Must have experience with assessments to determine disposition for psych patients as well as experience working with violent patients
License/ Certification Requirements - Master’s level Licensure with the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (KS)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (KS)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (KS)
Notes: This is a highly independent role where ED physicians rely on the THP’s psychiatric assessment and disposition plan after medical clearance. Strong psych nursing skills are essential, and more experience is required due to the ED setting
