RTO: If you have more than 5 days of requested time off, time will be added at the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 weeks.

Unit Details: Tower 2 is a 60-bed mixed acuity, cardiac and telemetry unit. T2 specializes in the care of patients 18 years and older who are recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries and interventions (post open-heart surgery, ventricular assist devices, vascular, and thoracic surgery) and cardiac medical patients, (post-interventional cardiology procedures, heart failure, and acute coronary syndrome) and patients requiring intermediate level of care.

Could care for COVID patients.

Shift & Scheduling:

• WEEKENDS: as needed
• CALL REQUIREMENTS: n/a
• HOLIDAYS: as needed; will be expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays, no RTO between Christmas and New years

Types of Patients on Unit: Adults

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: Cardiac MED/Surg/IMCU: Chest Pain, Syncope, Rhythm issues, NSTEMI, STEMI, CHF, Hiatal Hernia, lung masses, esophageal cancer, pleural effusion. Pericardial effusion, Multivessel Disease, Aortic Valve Stenosis, Unstable Heart Failure, LVAD with medical conditions other than new implant. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Mitral clips, Pacemakers, Ablations, Heart Cath, Cardiac Stents, Hiatal Hernia Repair, Esophagectomy, Video Assisted Thoracotomy, Cardio MEMS, Cardioversions, Bronchoscopy, Acute CPAP/BIPAP or high flow oxygen.

IMCU: LVAD (post-new implant) or medical management, Post Open Heart, TVAR and Alcohol Septal Ablation with TVP, TVAR, Pericardial Drains, PreOp Open Heart Insulin Drips, Acute CPAP/BIPAP, Titratable Cardiac Drips.
