Travel Allied (Sterile Processing Tech) - Sterile Processing Unit

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

In the interest of expediting your submission, please list the specialties/unit in which you've worked in and all applicable instrumental/tray processing fields you have experience with (Example: General, OB/GYN, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Ortho, etc.) on your work history.

Guaranteed Hours: 40h contract

Shift: Monday - Friday with 1 rotating weekend (Sat & Sun) per month, possibly twice depending on staffing needs

Open to accommodating block schedule? No; case-by-case possibly considered during contract but depends on core staff.

Weekend Required

Is on-call required? Yes twice per month; rotating weekends

Patient Diagnoses - Preferred: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents

Additional Information:

• Inpatient, outpatient, and trauma setting experience required.
• Sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case cart, HLD, and scrub experience required.
• Candidate should have experience in surgery cases such as Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants. Ophthalmology preferred.

Preferred Setting: Children's Hospital

Teaching and Community Hospital Experience: Preferred

Trauma Level I Experience: Preferred

Preferred: pure processing sink inserts/flexi pumps

Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM, IAHCSMM/HSPA

Modules are completed pre-start, and annually

Please include all RTO.

Return Staff Policy: 3 month rule to return as traveler

Scrub Color: Any (no reddish orange permitted)
