Additional Details:
BJC policy: Every other weekend required.
RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.
No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Years of experience req: At least 2-3 years Level 1 ICU experience required.
Weekend req: no call, no holidays

Special Requirements:
- Pt. population includes adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric population in level 1 trauma center.
- Surgical patients we recover include: Neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant.
- We do not recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants.
- Unit has own PCT/transport team
- Unit open 24/7. Consists of 38 patient bays. Staff needed for recovery of vast array of acute post op patients. Critical care experience required as some patients require artificial airways, invasive monitoring (including ICP), transfusions, and vasoactive drugs.
- Night shift would have to learn how to work up a preop patient
Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Trauma Level II Experience: Required

RTO must be on the submittal
No RTO the first week of an assignment.
Background Policy to be noted prior to submission
Permanent employees at must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.
All Standard Travelers (reside outside of a 75 mile radius) can stay for an 18 month period. Must take a 3 month break after 18 months.
Required to pass Relias EKG comp exam
