Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Oncology Unit experience within the past 3 years.

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Preferred Skills/Experience: MS nurses would be considered

Nurses do not have to be chemo cert or experienced

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Special Procedures: Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Bone marrow, biopsies, Peritoneal dialysis, Wound vacs

Types of Patients on Unit: Common Diagnosis: Unknown fevers, cellulitis, dka, pneumonia, copd, flu, diabetic ulcers

Unit/Facility Details: of Beds: 42

Nurse Patient Ratio: 1/6

Shift & Scheduling: Weekly Wednesday starts

Floating Requirements: Areas of Float Support: Orthopedics, Comprehensive Medical Unit, Med-Surg Neuro, Accountability Care Unit
