Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
18 months of Operating Room experience is preferred with some in the last 24 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license

Guaranteed Hours 40

Cases per day: 30-40

Common Cases: Pediatric to geriatric. Ortho-total joints, ORIF, arthroscopies, foot and ankle, ortho spine-typically travelers don’t do, General-robotics, appys, choles, etc.; Urology-ureteroscopies, cystos, robotic prostatectomies; GYN- robotics, hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, lap tubals, A&P repairs, D&C; Vascular-fistulas- creations and declots, endovascular iliac and aortic stents, carotids, TCARs; Spine-lamis, fusions-thoracic, lumber, and cervical; Podiatry, ENT- navigated FESS (functional endoscopic sinus surgery), thyroid, Parathyroid, septoplasties, radical necks, T&As and ear tubes on kids.

Scrubbing required: No

Weeknight/Call Requirements: Yes to cover PTO, otherwise weeknights are staffed with 1 crew. 12 hour call shifts.

Weekend/Call Requirements: Yes, 2nd call crew during day 07-19, weekend nights call to cover PTO. Otherwise weekend nights are staffed. 1-2 shifts every 6 weeks.

Holiday/Call Requirements: Yes if needed, will be assigned.

What is call response time: 30 minutes

Floating Requirements: Yes, to Surgery Center across parking lot from main hospital.

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Blue scrubs provided. OR shoes required or shoe covers, eye protection- prefer they bring own.

How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Yes with unit based educator, travelers get 1 week.
