Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Required -Skills REQ: Pediatrics: Abdominal pain, Asthma, Burns, Epiglottitis, Head injury, Hyperglycemia, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Poison ingestion, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Sickle cell crisis, Skin Disorders, Urinary tract infections. Psychiatric: Acute psychosis, Drug overdose, Managing violent behavior, Psychiatric Hold, Suicidal patient. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs. Respiratory: Chest tube insertion/management, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of ABGs, Intubation, Ventilated patients. Medications: Continuous IV paralytics, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors. Neurological: CVA. Work Settings: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, STEMI Certified Facility, Stroke Certified Facility. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG. Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Triage. Orthopedics: Manage / apply splints.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend REQ: Yes, every third weekend Coverage and/or 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke’s 6-week schedule period, combination of F/S/S.
