Requirements

Experience

18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months within the past 12 months.

ASN completion required

References

Candidates must provide 2 charge/lead references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills / Experience: Proficiency in using medical technology.

Trach care, chest tube mgmt., PIV start skills, PCA, surgical drains, wound care, drips that traveler would manage (Rituxan, thymoglobulin, neostigmine)

Required Credentials: Education: ASN/BSN

Unit / Facility Details: Parking: Free, on site

Shift & Scheduling: 36 or 48 hours are available.

No Call

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Floating Requirement: Within the cancer center first, then to any med-surg unit within the hospital
