Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience.

Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license

Vaccinations

Required Skills/Experience: Candidate must have experience recovering Plastics, Urology, Dental, GYN

Must help with coverage in Pre-Op

Traveler should have experience with monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation and A-lines

Skills: Inpatient, Phase I PACU, Arterial line management, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, IV vasopressors, Narcotics/Opioid Analgesics, Reversal agents, External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Care of Ventilated Patient, Conscious Sedation, Post-epidural management, General, Local, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), Nerve Blocks, Spinal, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, Pain assessment & management, PCA pump and management, RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale), Bariatrics, ENT, General, Gyn, Neuro, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Vascular

Preferred Skills/Experience: 2 yrs exp preferred - all surgeries except hearts

Exp with peds and critical care strongly

Required Credentials: Government Issued Photo ID

Special Requests: Tdap declinations are not accepted at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Shift & Scheduling: Call required; Minimun of 2 weekend shifts per contract
