Requirements

Experience

12 months of acute care experience.

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.

ADN completion required

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

Must have at least 2 + years of experience with:

• Cervical exams.

• Infant delivery (deliveries will occasionally need the assistance of RNs while on call physician reports).

• Must have Charge level experience.

• Labor and delivery experience for labor positions. All need postpartum couplet care experience.

• Nursery experience in a level 2 nursery or higher acuity for SCN positions.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Fetal Monitoring, stabilization of a neonate, trouble shooting high acuity situations and good triage assessment skills.

Required Credentials: AWHONN (must be renewed every 2 years). ADN or BSN.

Unit/Facility Details: Child birth/L&D.

Shift & Scheduling: Option of 13 or 26 week contract. Weekend Hours: Varies.
