Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Public Transportation is NOT accessible in this area, please ensure you have reliable transportation, personal vehicle or rental vehicle are strongly recommended

Vehicles should be equipped with all season or snow tires during the months of November – April

Required Skills/Experience: Minimum of 1 year tele experience required

Required Credentials: Please ensure all employment gaps over 90 days are explained

This facility requires ALL work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) to be complete in order to submit

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IV’s, post cardiac cath.

Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Population (Diagnoses): Acute Coronary Syndrome, Bipap/CPAP with compromised gas exchange, Cardiac diagnosis requiring closer monitoring, minimally titrating inotropic/vasodilator/antiarrhythmic/anti-platelet drips, Post PTCA/stent with arterial/venous sheath, Drug toxicity requiring advanced monitoring/frequent observation,

ETOH withdrawal patient with high potential of airway compromise requiring frequent sedation, thrombolytic therapy for ACS or vascular patency, major vascular surgery or leg by pass with comorbidities, Hypotension/hemodynamic instability, insulin drip therapy, Heart Failure, Carotid surgery, Electrical cardioversion, Carotid surgery, Active rewarming for temperature regulation

Age Range: adult

Special Requests: No block schedules for any reason

Shift & Scheduling: A minimum of every other weekend and/or schedule adjusted to meet the needs of the unit and patient care

Monday to Sunday

Bi-weekly orientations on Monday
