Requirements

Experience

12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from any number of months.

3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license

Certifications

NIHSS (Required)

BLS (Required)

Additional Details:

Cannot have any previous hits on licensure. Cannot have any of the following background hits: Domestic disputes or domestic violence (at any time), theft (within 5 years), DUIs (within 5 years), drug charges including marijuana (at any time), felony (at any time).

• Will allow blocked scheduling. Please be advise the facility will not approve 6 on 8 off blocks.

• Need strong Trach, Spinal and Brain injury experience. All do need strong Male and Female Foley experience.

• Will take LTAC and Med Surg nurses as long as they do have those strong skill sets.

• Will take RN with 1 year experience as long as they have pervious 2-3 years of LPN experience in rehab.

• Weekends: Every Third Weekend

• Call Requirements: No

• Float Requirements: (Must be willing to other units at Fraizer)

• EMR: Cerner and ITW

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Trach Care and G-Tube

• Type of Patients on Unit: Spinal Floor / Brain Injury

• Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue

• Any unacceptable attire: hoodies, t-shirt, sweatshirts, and any outside of the uniform
