Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience can be mixed adult/peds but must have significant peds skillset.
• Proficiency in laparoscopic surgery and in scrubbing surgical procedures. GS, GU, OHNS, Plastics, Eye, Ortho, Neuro experience.
• Skills: Administration of blood & blood products, Application of anti-embolic compression units, Assist Anesthesia during induction, Electrosurgical Safety, Implants (documenting/tracking), Infection control, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Tissue Banking, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Urinary bladder catheterization, Wound Management, Pediatric General Surgery, Pediatric Orthopedic, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Pediatric Urology, Pediatric Craniofacial/Oral/Plastics, Pediatric Podiatry, Pediatric ENT, Code response, Fire Safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia, Pediatric Gynecology, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Robotics, Electrosurgical units, Endoscopic equipment, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Laparoscopes, Tourniquets, General OR, Pedi General OR

Required Credentials:

• RNs only: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply
• Current and valid DL, government photo ID, or US Passport.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends PRN.

Floating Requirements:

• Float to adult OR
• Must be willing and able to float to other UCSF facilities as needed.
