Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.

Required Skills/Experience: Transfuse blood, wound vac changes, PCA pumps

Required Credentials:

• Licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission.

• References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Holiday Requirement: May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation.

• Call or a Standby requirement: No On Call. Standby is on EA.

Floating Requirements:

• Floating is on a rotating basis if needed on another unit. Last Float to another unit is kept track by the charge nurse and rotated to the next staff member. Can be voluntary also. Floating is not considered if covering the IRF(rehab unit). Staff is shared between both units as needed.

• May be floated to any other MS, MS-Tele, or IMC unit to care for lower acuity patients
