Day/Night Rotating
It usually is about 2-3 weeks staff shift. Some staff may shift a little sooner than that depending on any requests they may have or staffing needs. We do our best to not swap people faster than 1 week. In a 6 week schedule they could expect approximately 50% of their shifts days 50% nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Every other weekend and rotating holidays
Postpartum care & float to med surg if needed due to union rules.
Required:
2 years OB/Peds experience
Willing to float to other units - i.e,: Tele, MS in the event it is needed
If no EPIC experience, must list EMR previously used
Able to work in Labor, PP, Nursery and Peds
Patient Types: Care for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, GYN, Med-Surg overflow and may be 2nd RN in our SCN.
Census varies-average 5 couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 gyn, 2 labor, 4 SCN.
Floating: Float in rotation with MNA nurses. Labor, PP, Nursery and Peds
May also need to assist in Med Surg if asked. Will not be frequent and may just sit/assist in MS unit
Patient Ratio: 1/3 Mom-Baby Couplet, 1/5 GYN/MedSurg patients, 1/3-4 Pediatrics
Dress Code: Scrubs - Navy
Orientation: Equipment and unit orientation on first day.
