Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 12 months of Radiology experience.
BSN completion preferred
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References

Preferred Skills/Experience: Prefer Diagnostic Imaging Radiology experience, progressive care, ICU, or ED background

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Care provided on unit include: This position is focused on MRI for outpatients and inpatients. This area sees a full spectrum of patients, from low acuity to high ICU acuity of all ages. Nursing starts IVs for MRI and performs POCT testing. The nurse is responsible for checking patients’ medications, vital signs, lab results, and history to ensure that it is safe to proceed with the planned study. Anesthesia prep and recovery is provided for this area as well. Nursing works closely with the anesthesia team for sedation for MRI studies and perform phase 1 anesthesia recovery. Nursing also coordinates with multiple team members to help bring ED patients and inpatients for their scans. MRI is focused on patient and team member safety going into the MRI magnet. MRI Full Stop training is required. The nurse is responsible for responding to any IV infiltration, contrast reaction, patient fall, or patient safety event.

Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy: Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler.
