Travel Allied (Respiratory Therapist) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have L&D experience, as they will be primarily in L&D
• Must have Children's Hospital experience within the last 3 years
• Aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, medihaler, metered dose inhaler (MDI), albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, tobramycin, Xopenex, BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, CPAP/nasal CPAP/BIPAP, extubation, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oral/nasal suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, tracheostomy care/management, nebulizer hand held, nebulizer T-piece, nebulizer trach collar, pediatric critical care.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Bicarbonate, inhaled Flolan, nitric oxide (iNO), heated nebulizer, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), pediatrics, Servo U.

Required Credentials: Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA.

Unit/Facility Details: NICU or PICU experience required. Home unit of NICU, PICU, or Peds will be assigned once at the facility but can be changed based on the need of the facility.

Shift & Scheduling: EOW

Floating Requirements: May be assigned to PICU, NICU, and Peds, and floating to any of the 3 specialties can occur. May also float to IU Health North Hospital
