Additional Details:
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Orientation is weekly, on Mondays.
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: must be able to work rotating weekends
Call Requirements: no call
Years of Experience: 3 to 5
Patient Ratios: 1:6 or 1:4 depending on staffing. Try to staff 3 days and 3 nights with a mid-shift from 10A-10P. Many times, we can staff 4 and 4 throughout the shift.
Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: all age groups
Must Have Skills/Experience: traumas- handle stabilization of traumas and prepare for transfer
Preferred Skillset/Experience: chest tubes, critical drips, traumas
Common Diagnosis/Treatment: from the common cold to traumas
Required Education: RN license
Scrub Color: blue, can wear sweatshirt, tee shirt with scrub pants.
Any unacceptable attire: no offensive language or political statements on any attire
