Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Emergency Department experience within the past 12 months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience. Skills: Abdominal pain, Asthma, Burns, Epiglottitis, Head injury, Hyperglycemia, Identifying and reporting abuse, Infections, Mental/behavioral health conditions, Near drowning, Poison ingestion, Respiratory infections, Seizures, Sickle cell crisis, Skin Disorders, Spinal cord injury, Urinary tract infections, Acute psychosis, Drug overdose, Managing violent behavior, Psychiatric Hold, Suicidal patient, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Chest tube insertion/management, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Intubation, Ventilated patients, Continuous IV paralytics, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Neuro-Trauma, Traumatic Brain injury, Gunshot wounds, Traumatic amputation, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Manage / apply splints, Ortho trauma.

Required Credentials: ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued ID.

Special Requests: If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up. No travel partners accepted.

Shift & Scheduling: Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit. Weekend req: 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke’s 6-week schedule period, combination of F/S/S.

Floating Requirements: Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed.
