Specialty: Intermediate/Step Down Cardiac Unit specializing in post OP Coronary Bypass Graft, Valve surgery, Chest pain, Dysrhythmia with pre/post Pacemaker/AICD placement, pre/post Cath Lab, CHF
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Yes – any PCU or Med Surg units
Patient Ratios: 4:1 or 5:1 (6:1 if floated to other units)
Must Have Skills/Experience: Cardiac PCU experience, CABG experience
Preferred Skillset/Experience: Competent post cath sheath removal, competent with cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, primacor, dobutamine, dopamine, and heparin
Type of Patients on Unit: Intermediate, step-down unit, PCU. We are a cardiac unit that specializes in post op open heart, dysthymia, chest pain, chf, CABG patients post op day 1-2 until discharge
