Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

BLS (Required)
Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: Will work Charge as needed for this assignment, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen tanks, Heparin, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams

Preferred Skills/Experience: Phlebotomy, Colostomy care and management, Feeding tube care and management, PCA, Kidney Transplant, Urology/Nephrology, Teaching Hospital Experience

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling: 4x12 or 3x12, Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend

Floating Requirements: will float to other Medical Surgical units
