No Self Scheduling.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend is required
No on call; holidays are required, as needed
Required Skills/Experience:
Must have 1 years PEDS CV & 1 year Adult CV or 2+ years PEDS/Adult CV.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
ECMO experience preferred.
Special Requests:
IVS to AUTO OFFER if 3 days or less RTO (no Holidays).
Floating Requirements:
Travelers are first to float
Floating is required within the ICU cluster (NICU, PICU, Burn PICU)
Unit Details:
Travelers are not always placed with the lower acuity patients. Travelers will not take a fresh post-op due to the graduate nurse training program orientation needs.
Nurse/Patient Ratios: 1/1 for ICU, 1/2-3
Types of Patients on Unit:
All congenital heart defects, heart failure, cardiac transplant, dysrhythmias, CRRT (not usually assigned to travelers), PD, etc
Unit will soon have VAD and Impella. No balloon pumps in the unit
