Required Skills/Experience: Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. List of required skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, administration of blood & blood products, arterial line management, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, starting and maintaining IVs, TPN/Lipids, acute/chronic renal failure, urinary catheter insertion/management, anti-seizure medications, antiarrhythmics, continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, pediatric dosage calculations, procedural sedation, assist/maintain chest tube, assist/manage intubation, BiPAP/CPAP, care of ventilated patient, care/maintenance of acute airway, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), suctioning (ETT, NT), tracheostomy care, ventilator management, central venous pressure monitoring (CVP), hemodynamic monitoring, telemetry -on the unit monitoring, telemetry- remote monitoring, external ventricular drain (EVD), hydrocephalus/VP shunt, hypothermia protocols, ICP monitoring, neuromuscular disease, post neurosurgery, extremity fracture/cast, infection control/PPE, vaccine administration, wound assessment/care, insulin administration, IV insulin pumps, management of gastric tubes, NG tube insertion/ management, isolation precautions, and monitoring chemotherapy (does not initiate).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac step down and general cardiac experience. Accessing/Managing Ports, Phlebotomy, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Peritoneal dialysis, Pre/Post Hemodialysis, Congenital Heart Disease/Repair, ECMO, Insertion/Management of Pulmonary Artery Pressure (PAP) line, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS)/Rapid Response Team, Post cardiac surgery, and Post acute abdominal surgery.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/Evening, 12 hour shift, 7:00am-7:30pm. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.
