Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
License
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Teaching Hospital Experience - Preferred

Trauma Level II Experience - Preferred

Required:

Cardiac, (liver/kidney)transplant, and endovascular

Schedule: Every Weekend - Friday - Sunday

No Call

Must have experience in thoracic, transplant, and vascular or cardiac (score of 3 or above).

Experience with multiple service lines including traumas, transplant, cardiac and PV - Highly Preferred

Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.

Floating: Travelers are the first.

The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.

Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite

Other transportation options are available: bus, park & ride, private parking, etc.

Pre-Approved Time Off: 2 Requests

Orientation: 40 Hours

Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Special Procedures: Night cases in a level 1 trauma center, we do E-cases (Emergency Cases). Transplant, endovascular, trauma, and e-crani, and cardiac.

RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process.

Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required.

Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to.

Orientation:

UWH orientation is held every other week – typically on a Monday

Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change)

Orientation is typically about one week.

A telemetry exam will be required prior to start - Passing score of 80% or higher

Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass.
