Required Bariatric Case Experience: Laparoscopic assisted cases.
Required General Surgery Case Experience: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple.
Required Neurology Case Skills/Experience: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion.
Required Orthopedic Case Skills/Experience: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures.
Required Plastic Surgery Case Skills/Experience: Free Flap - Microvascular.
Required Transplant Skills/Experience: Organ donation.
Required Urology Case Skills/Experience: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy.
Required Trauma Case Skills/Experience: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries).
Required Emergency management Skills/Experience: Code response, Fire safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia.
Required Equipment/Instrumentation/Supplies Experience: Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Hana tables.
Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Administration of blood products, Infection control, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Urinary bladder catheterization.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: All service lines except CV.
Types of Patients on Unit: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Special Requests: No block schedule. All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by manager.
Shift & Scheduling: Varied Evenings 1045-2115 and 1445-2315, depending on schedule needs. Weekend 1 per month. On call required for 1/week though it's no usually that often anymore.
Floating Requirements: Clinician float within scope to meet facility needs but Within skill set-rarely happens.
Parking: Parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.
