Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: 2-3 weeknight back up call 2130-0700 1-2 24 hour weekedn call saturday or sunday 7am-7am
50% of holidays on contract is required.

Must have Peds ICU experience.

Teaching Hospital Experience: Required
Trauma Level II Experience: Required
Float: To possible preop/phase 2
Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
Daily Census: 60
Patient Diagnoses: Ortho, Neuro, spine, robotic, vascular, TAVR, GYN, Trauma, ENT, plastics, transplants (primary kidney), eyes, Cath labs, IR, Pediatric 12 and up, pediatric traumas, ECTS
Must be able to titrate drips and be able to help with vented patients if necessary. Vented patients sometimes come to the unit, its not common but happens now and then.
Able to handle critical ICU care patients
Able to react to patient decline
Must have ICU or ER background. Preferable ICU. 2-3 years PACU after ICU
We do care for ICU patients' recovery.
ICU patients are preop in PACU
Sometimes bedside procedures such as cardioversion
RTO must be included at time of submittal or will not be approved- No eceptions
Return Travelers: If a traveler takes a break after an assignment and returns within 18 months, re- orientation is not required.
Floating is required and mandatory for all units. All travelers will be expected to float to any area at UMHS as a Patient Observer (PTOB) – “Sitter.”
