Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Tele experience required
  • IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, cardiac telemetry, ER holding, MS/Tele, telemetry, respiratory care including chest tubes–Emerson/PleurEvac, external CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, tracheostomy care/management, CVA (cerebrovascular accident), pre/post neurosurgery, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, manage cardiac drips–no titration, PCA, titrate cardiac drips, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry–on the unit monitoring, telemetry–remote monitoring, use of rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, surgical drains, cardiac monitoring and emergency response.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Community Hospital Experience

Required Credentials:

  • RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.
  • A valid SSN is required by all candidates at time of submittal.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: Free parking in parking lot

Special Requests:

  • RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.
  • No RTO the first week of an assignment.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • BJC policy: Every other weekend required.
  • Every third weekend

Floating Requirements: Required to float between Progress West and St. Peters as needed.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
