Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Preferred 12 months of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 18 months experience in MedSurg and/or ICU with EPIC or Cerner experience. If strictly ICU experience, Cerner is required.
- 6 North Trauma Surgical - Skills required: At least 1 year of trauma/surgical experience. Wound care, chest tubes, NGT, IV skills, medication administration/documentation and escalations
- 5 South Neuroscience - Skills required: IV start, blood draws from central lines, trach care, PEG, NGT, Colostomy/Ostomy, Wound Care, Chest tube, Surgical Site Care, C-Collar, Abdominal Binders, Restraints
- 5 North MedSurg/Oncology: chemo experience high preferred - Skills required: Trach care, chest tubes, PEG tubes, wound care, drains, foleys, IV starts; Chemo administration, if certified.
- 4 South Clinical Decision Unit - Skills required: Assessment, prioritization, communication and documentation skills. Tracheotomy care, Suctioning, O2 Therapy, ostomy care, Foley care, External catheter care, PEG/NGT care and use, wound care, chest tube, central line care, pressure ulcer management/preventive measures, falls prevention management, restraints.
- 3 South Orthopedics - Skills required: PCA pumps, wound care (negative pressure dressing), dressing changes, foley, drains (hemovacs/JP drains)
- 3 North MS/Ortho/Urology - Skills Required: Trach, wound care, wound vacs, IV starts, CVL dressing changes, follow nurse-driven foley protocol.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: Every other or 4 weekend days per month
Floating Requirements: Any like unit/patient location (MS-MS, MS-ICU task, MS-ER/MS holds; ICU-ICU, ICU-MS task or limit of 3, ICU-ER/ICU holds).
