Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license

Short Stay- 23 hour Stay Unit, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Post Angiogram, Post cardiac surgery, Post MI, IV insulin protocols, Thyroidectomy, Bariatric surgery, Bowel obstruction, Colostomy/ileostomy management/care, Feeding tube care and management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, PCA, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Substance Withdrawal, Traumatic Brain injury, Administration of chemotherapy, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total joint replacement, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy care/management

Required credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Government issued photo ID. Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy.

Shift & schedule requirements: 3x12s or 4x12s. Must work 2/3 major holidays. Every Other weekend.

Special request requirements: Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
