Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Required Skills/Experience:

Level 1 or 2 trauma experience.
Strong CVOR background is needed across all specialties – ability to work independently with minimal guidance in the following cases: CABG, TAVR, Valve replacements, Thoracic cases are robotic (lobectomy, hernia repair), Generator exchanges, Lead extractions, Heart transplants, Fem-pop Bypass.

Required Credentials: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing.

Unit/Facility Details: Free Parking - Yes

Special Requests: Approval of time off? Reach out to Manager for approval.

Shift & Scheduling:

8 or 10 hr. shifts – TBD during interview
Weekend rotation: on call only
Will they be on call? Yes – one overnight per week 7p-7a and every 3rd weekend.
Ideally, 1-2 days/week (1500-0700); 1 weekend every 3rd Fri 1500-0700 Monday)
This is subject to change as needs of the department change
Holiday Expectations: potential to work every holiday
