Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience.
Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license

Additional Details:

  • Required Credentials:

  • RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

  • No medical marijuana cards accepted.

  • Required to pass Relias EKG comp exam

  • Shift & Scheduling:

  • Rotating shifts as needed (0530, 0630, 0730, 0830, 0930)

  • Monday-Friday, rotating starts

  • Every other weekends, no call, no holidays

  • Required Skills/Experience:

  • Critical care experience, Inpatient, Level I Trauma Center, Phase I PACU, Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Blood Product Administration, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, Care of Ventilated patients, General

  • Post cardiac surgery, lobectomy, chest trauma, Ex-lap and splenectomy and trauma patients.

  • Experience with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia; needs high acuity inpatient PACU and ICU experience preferred.

  • PACU experience in level 1 trauma required. Please SCREEN if they have level 2 trauma for manager to review.

  • Must have 2 years level 1 Critical Care/ICU and PACU experience

**Preferred Skills/Experience:**ICU experience. Teaching Hospital Experience

Floating Requirements: ICU, main PACU, PCU, MS, ER Holding

  • Types of Patients on Unit:
  • Pt. population includes adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric population in level 1 trauma center.
  • Surgical patients we recover include: Neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant.
  • We do not recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants.
  • Staff needed for recovery of vast array of acute post op patients. Critical care experience required as some patients require artificial airways, invasive monitoring (including ICP), transfusions, and vasoactive drugs. Surgical patients we recover include: Neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant. We do not recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants.

Parking Cost: $15/day or $70/month

Previous Employment Requirements: All Standard Travelers (reside outside of a 75 mile radius) can stay for an 18 month period. Must take a 3 month break after 18 months.
