Requirements
Experience
24 months of acute care experience.
36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from last 12 months.
Must have at least 12 months of Oncology Clinic experience.
BSN completion required
Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 Year acute care setting, MedSurg or ICU.
  • Recent Ambulatory Experience.
  • IV experience.
  • Required Skills: Outpatient oncology, Biotherapy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Accessing/Managing Ports, Isolation Precautions, Neutropenic precautions, Wound care, Telephone Triage, Patient/Family education and support, Symptom management, Constipation/diarrhea, Nausea/vomiting, Medications, Antiemetics.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Previous Charge Experience.
  • Teaching Hospital and Community Hospital Experience.
  • Radiation Oncology and Wound Care Management experience.

Required Credentials: RNs only: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply.

Unit and facility details: This is for a temp clinic RN position that care for acute admitted Inpatients as well as ambulatory patients.

Special Requests: Travel pairs are allowed, but generally will not be on the same unit.

Floating Requirements: MUST be able to float to other UCSF Facilities.
