Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 18 months of Progressive Care Unit experience.
Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license

BLS (Required)
ACLS (Preferred)
NIHSS (Preferred)
Vaccinations

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Required Skills/Experience: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Neurological/Psychiatric, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Respiratory, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Medications, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Endocrine/Metabolic, IV insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips, Oncology, Cardiovascular, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Additional Skills, Amio and cardizem drip, Post watchman and ablation

Preferred Skills/Experience: Central line care/management, External CPAP/BIPAP, Titrate Cardiac drips, Monitoring Chemotherapy, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry

Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID

Unit/Facility Details:

  • Mixed Acuity Unit - Medical patient with some PCU level of care patients. We are also the oncology and stroke unit. MS patients are 1:5-6 ratio and PCU patients 1:3-4
  • Parking Cost: Free

Shift & Scheduling: 3x12 or 4x12, Every Other Weekends, Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
