Teaching Hospital Experience
Administration of blood & blood products, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure, urinary bladder catheterization, wound management, neurology, ALIF (anterior lumbar interbody fusion), anterior cervical fusion, cervical fusions, craniotomy, insertion of VP shunt, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, MIS (minimally invasive surgery), emergency management, code response, fire safety, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia, pedi neurology, VP/VA shunts, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, general OR, trauma, gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries), patient positioning (lateral, supine, prone).
Preferred Skills/Experience:
XLIF (extreme lateral interbody fusion).
Unit/Facility Details: Could care for COVID patients.
Special Requests: Pairs are okay, but the client cannot guarantee matched schedules.
Shift & Scheduling: 4, 10s (0700-1730) or 3, 12s (0700-1930)
1-2 calls per week (Mon-Thur)
Call starts after your shift – 0700 the next morning
2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks. Call starts at end of shift Friday – 0700 Monday
No scheduled weekend shifts (call only)
