Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must Have Skills/Experience: Responsibilities Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceuticals and materials; calculates and administers doses under the direct supervision of a Radiologist. Calibrates equipment. Assesses patients understanding of exam and informed consent. Instructs and prepares patient for exams. Interacts professionally with patient/family. Performs diagnostic exams on patients as prescribed by physician. Assesses, evaluates and informs physician of changes in patients condition during testing. Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing exams. Uses scanners or scintillation cameras for detection of radiation emitted to produce image of organ on photographic film. Measures radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers and scintillation detectors. Follows radiation safety techniques and policies in the use and disposal of radioactive materials. Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and general population. Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.

Required Credentials:

  • Graduation from approved school of Radiology Sciences with certification in nuclear medicine.
  • Social Security Card
  • Driver’s License

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Call Requirements: Takes call according to monthly schedule, after regular department hours.
