Adult Transitions

Must have at least 9 months of same unit experience in the past 12 months, no exceptions.

Patient Ratios : Nurses 1/8, mht’s 1/12

Scheduling requirements: We require coverage for three 12-hour shifts each day, seven days a week, including weekends. Please note that days off are not guaranteed unless specified in the contract.

Floating policy: Clinician is utilized where the greatest need is.

Requested Skill Set: Ability to assess patients' mental health status, including recognizing signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems. This involves taking thorough patient histories, observing behavior, and using diagnostic tools.

Must have: Crisis Intervention: Providing immediate, short-term support to patients in crisis (e.g., suicidal ideation, aggression). This includes de-escalation techniques and appropriate medication management.

Advanced skills needed: Therapeutic Communication - Building trust and rapport with patients through effective communication skills, active listening, and empathy.
