Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
24 months of Step Down Unit experience is required.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years exp in a progressive care or step-down unit.
  • 2 years of experience in a larger facility (200 beds min), level 1.
  • Experience with vents, BiPaps, and titrating vasopressor drips.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:

  • Management of 3 intermediate ICU patients. Management of varying patient populations including intermediate cardiac, neuro, trauma, medical, and post-surgical patients.
  • Ability to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropic, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips within a lower titration range.

  • Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet
  • Aleris IV pumps
  • MOOG Feeding pumps
  • Phillips Patient Monitoring Systems
  • AvaSure patient Monitoring
  • Hamilton Ventilator
  • Hamilton V60 BiPAP

Unit Details:

  • This is a PCU/Tele/ICU Stepdown unit.
  • 18 beds

Previous Employment Requirements: MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health. If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday.

Floating Requirements:

  • Floating to all critical care departments in Sanford Fargo including Intermediate ICU with ratios up to 4:1.
  • May be required to float to med surg units as needed.
