Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

RN PCU/Stepdown 3 IMCU

Required Credentials: Dysrhythmia Exam Required (Study Guide Available in Library)

Preferred Skills/Experience: 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred), Prefers candidates with flexible schedules

Preferred Credentials: Critical Care Course (preferred)

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend/major holiday required

Types of Patients on Unit:

Patient Population: Cardiac Telemetry, Vascular and Med-Surg. Some Post Cath, Post Pacemakers. Lines/Drains/Devices: PICC’s, dialysis catheter’s, PEG tubes, ostomies, foley’s, chest tubes, NG tubes, tube feeding (Kangaroo pumps), wound vacs.

Airway: Trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, Heated High Flow, High Flow, Nasal cannulas. No ventilators.

Drips: Cardizem, Amio, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Lasix, Heparin, and Insulin. PCA pumps for pain management.

Other: Nurses are required to read/verify telemetry strips once a shift in EPIC.
